Shehaqua Council Election Candidate Nomination
Congratulations, you have been nominated, or nominated yourself, to serve on the Shehaqua Council. This is a special opportunity to serve the Shehaqua Family.
 
To qualify you must have attended at least two Shehaqua programs in the last three years, have demonstrated responsibility at Shehaqua programs (for example helped with a volunteer assignment at camp or as a member of a circle), be 17 years old or older, and have a sincere desire to serve the Shehaqua Family.
 
If elected as a Council member the following will be expected of you.
-Serve for a two-year term
-Attend bi-monthly council meetings through Zoom video (or phone) conference calls, about 90 minutes long. If needed, extra meetings will be scheduled as well
-Attend a one-day summit in spring in person
-Be prepared to serve on the Council as facilitator, administrator, or scribe if need arises
 
What does the Shehaqua Council do?
a.     Create or modify policies that govern all Shehaqua programs
b.     Approve Shehaqua Family program plans and budgets
c.     Select Operations Team Facilitator
