Note about the rec hall: For presentations, the benches face the end of the rec hall away from the fireplace, but for talent night, the benches face the wall across from the porch. Leave the benches set up facing the wall across from the porch at the end of the week, as the next week will have orientation in that orientation (pun intended). The sound system does not need to be set up for presentations.

Helps to set up for activities and presentations. The staging crew's assignments include:

Set up for activities ahead of time. Specifically:

  • Move the Sound Equipment.
  • Bring the songbook to the next location of people singing.
  • Take the songbooks indoors after an outdoor activity - even the singing before the meals - to prevent them from getting wet in any rain.
  • Move benches. Typically, you would ask for volunteers from the people coming to the program. Sometimes, a vehicle is available to help.
  • Build a camp fire for the first and second nights. If it is raining really hard, build it in the rec hall.
  • Table for s'mores on the first night and the candles for the second night. Ask the General Affairs Director for candles (typically, the registrar has the candles).
  • Provide water for the evening activities in the meadow and for the dodge ball night in the sports field.
  • Provide water for the water container on the rec hall porch.

After the evening activity: remove benches and sound system from the meadow, put out fire.
