Family Camp 2009

Building & Expanding Our Community of Faith

Dear Family,

Preparations for Family Camp 2009 at Shehaqua in PA are well underway. We will have 3 weeks again this year. In addition, we will have a weekend workshop for those who would like to experience Family Camp without missing days from work.

The sessions usually fill up fast, so you will want to register as early as you can. We have tried to keep the price for camp low and have structured the fees so that early birds can benefit with lower rates. We are sure that this helps you and it also helps us to make early buying decisions for food and supplies. We have also made an attempt to encourage both parents to attend camp with their children and have factored that into the price as well. Both parents can attend for the price of one.

Last summer we were blessed and encouraged to see so many college aged people and young families attend. We are creating special programs for parents to come whose children have grown up and out. These "empty nesters" are welcome to join us individually or as a couple. One of the weeks will feature a golf outing and other interesting and exciting programs are planned. Family Camp is a great and inexpensive vacation that can be shared with other couples and families.

We wholeheartedly invite you to spend a week at camp with us again this summer. Thank you for making Family Camp at Shehaqua a special experience. We look forward to being with you this summer.

Spend a week together loving life and experience joy in the beauty of God’s Creation. This is the perfect opportunity to recharge and reconnect with your life of faith and experience true joy with your whole family.

"One of the many things I appreciate about PA Family camp is the close bonds of friendship my children are able to make. These relationships are true and will last a life time." Gregg Noll: family camper for years...

As is our tradition, we involve the whole family at camp. Except for the cook, who spends very little time relaxing at camp, everyone volunteers their time to make the camp work. We are indeed rich in human resources. The camp runs so well due to the prayerful involvement of every one that attends.

Thanks to our Camp Registrars we have an updated website and registration program available for you to use.

Please read the pages on the website to become familiar with our policies and registration rules. We have made an effort to make the login interface easier to use.

Blessings to your family. We look forward to seeing you at Camp Shehaqua.
