With forests and meadows, Camp Shehaqua will be the place to meet your friends from Family Camp and beyond. A weekend in September is the time to take a break from the daily grind. With activities for everyone, Camp Shehaqua has the setting for peaceful relaxation or loads of fun. The Harvest Hoedown and Family Fall Festival captures the spirit of Family Camp and brings it back to you for two more days of joy.

Come join us on September 19-20 for a weekend of great food, a breath of clean mountain air, and our annual square dance. The hoedown and square dance on Saturday night is for everyone to enjoy and participate in. Bring a friend and show them what Camp Shehaqua and Family Camp have to offer.

How to sign up: Sign up on the registration system. We will still be sending updates, so make sure you get our announcements. We will send an email to everyone on our mailing list and to the members who selected "Send me all emails" on their settings. If you are not a member already, we encourage you to create an account or join the mailing list .

Spring Weekend

If you are considering camp for the first time and would like to see what the facilities are like at Camp Shehaqua or would simply enjoy a weekend out in nature with your family please join us for our Spring Weekend at Camp Shehaqua. We will open the camp on Friday evening after 5pm and will have activities on Saturday and Sunday until 3pm. It will be a little less structured and very relaxing. We hope you will join us at Camp Shehaqua for the weekend. Bring your musical instruments, flashlights and some warm clothing (as well as sleeping bags or blankets). It can still be a little nippy out here in the Spring. Here are the details:

When: Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17
Where: Camp Shehaqua - Directions to Camp Shehaqua

Cost: You can pay when you arrive

  • $20 per person over age 12
  • $10 per person 6 years to 11 years old
  • Free for those 5 years old and younger

Graphic Arts Challenge

We are looking for creative line art graphics for our song book cover for this year. Anyone can submit their ideas for consideration. The one chosen will grace the cover of the song book and may be used in other camp promotions. Keep in mind that the available space for the graphic is 5X5 inches on the front cover and another 5X5 inches on the back. Let the world know how creative you are. Please send your entry by Friday, May 29th. Nina Magnin

Dear Camp Family,

It is with some sadness that we report the passing of our dear sister and precious friend and a key founding family of Family Camp. Nina Magnin was involved in an auto accident on May 2nd in Nashville, Tennessee that caused severe injury resulting in her untimely passing into the spiritual world.

Nina is survived by her husband Michel, her son Etienne and her daughter Gisele. Nina was Blessed in 1982 as a part of the 2075 couple Blessing.

Nina's SeungHwa will be held on Wednesday, May 6

Wake -4pm to 7 p.m.
SeungHwa Ceremony - 7pm to 8pm
Won Jun Ceremony: Thursday, May 7, at 10 a.m.
